1. Overview
This Privacy Policy outlines how Spam Tracker ("the Bot"), created by NeonJava, collects, stores, processes, and protects minimal operational data when added to your Discord server.
We believe in privacy by design and the principle of least privilege. We only process data required to protect servers against spam, raids, and message flooding.
2. Information We Collect
To provide anti-spam protection, Spam Tracker processes the following information:
- Guild Identifiers: Guild ID, guild name, and protected channel ID (
#dont-msg-or-upload-here) stored in server configuration database. - Temporary Message Metadata (20-Minute Cache): Author User ID, Channel ID, Message ID, and Creation Timestamps stored in a short-lived in-memory cache for a maximum rolling duration of 20 minutes.
- Honeypot Trigger Events: When a user sends a message in the designated honeypot channel, their User ID, Guild ID, and action log (timestamp, timeout status, deleted message count) are logged for server administration verification.
3. Information We DO NOT Collect
- We do not permanently store Discord message text content.
- We do not read or log private direct messages (DMs).
- We do not sell, share, or trade user data to third parties.
- We do not track user activities outside the Discord server environment.
4. Data Retention & Automatic Purging
Spam Tracker uses strict automated retention schedules:
- Recent Message Index: Automatically purged from memory every 5 minutes. No message metadata is retained beyond the 20-minute moderation window.
- Guild Configuration: Retained while the bot is present in your server. If Spam Tracker is removed from a guild, all server configuration data is deleted automatically.
5. User Rights & Data Removal Requests
Server administrators can delete all server configuration data immediately by removing the bot from their server. To request manual verification or data inquiries, please contact the developer via GitHub.
